Thoughts on blogging and life

Blogging to me is a depart from the realm of the ordinary and a delve deep into the realm of secret sciences, ideas and meanings. It is a canteen for the idle ideas that emerge from the course of everyday life and a collection (or dumping ground) of discoveries, generally from the web, that I find noteworthy and discussable.

My greatest hope is to primarily be a mimicker or paraphraser of sorts, and a very good one at that. I hope that my ideas are not my own, but instead that they are a reflection. Our world has seen many great teachers, philosophers and theorists, all of which have led paths of wisdom for us to gather from. One, who’s claim is to be more than a teacher, has my complete confidence, and leads the path that promises fulfillment and everlasting joy.

Blogging is not going to reveal any great secrets about God. My opinion is not a magical telescope into the cosmos, but Instead an attempted, un-magical mirror of reality. In my youth, I have come to the realization that originality is very much unlike reality. My strive is for that of reality, not originality. And I trust you, the reader, are able to distinguish the two.

The reality we contend with is not a liquid, ungraspable manifestation of the unknown, but instead a very real, lucid and tangential reality. The ground beneath us is solid, and the sky above us is clear. How can the effect possibly be any greater than the cause? The very ability to think is a strong foundation for the complex, but concrete structure we call ‘reality’.

I believe that ‘insight’ is in every way a joint effort, and self-defeating without the direction of an infinite being. The infinite being, with all pseudonyms aside, is none other than the great God of Israel, Adonei, Jehovah, Yahweh, the Alpha and Omega; Beginning and the End. He is the one that described himself simply as “I AM” on a mountain side long ago. I believe that all answers lie with Him and that He is the great giver of all answers.

I do not think I will ever cease to be completely amazed by existence: the profoundness of life, the struggle of good and evil, the vastness of time and space, and of course the human relationships we hold so dear. I have come to believe that the majority of people have grown up under the false pretense that the things around them — life, nature, beauty — are simply un-miraculous, normal things. They deny the rhythm of reality, and only see noise. They live like fish in an aquarium, mesmerized by their daily rations and their synthetic rock and coral fixtures, completely unaware of the ocean that lies only a distance away. An ocean that is brimming with life, in all its vivacity and lip-binding brilliancy — but a mystery simply too far for the fish to desire or even comprehend. Only a distance separates the fish from its true home.

I do not know where to place blogging in the realm of literary arts, if it even is a literary art. Christ said, “from the outflow of the heart, the mouth speaks.” I think it can be fairly said that from the rest of the heart, the hand writes. Opinion, in its literary form, is how we want our convictions and worldviews to appear. Highly polished, accurate, concise, and without contradiction; blogging is a means to an end, it strengthens those qualities by adding experience and inviting peer review.

I apologize for some of the boldness you may come across on my pages, but I believe that our enemies seek to remove boldness from our midst. Our enemies want our views to be shallow and inexpressive, but it is only when we examine them in the light, that we can then make anything of them.

I believe that logic is a very powerful tool, but is limited in many respects. Those who look to logic alone for understanding find themselves chasing their own tail. They forget that they had a beginning and that their conscience is not autonomous; they are finite creatures within the infinite. If they cannot count the number of stars in the sky, then how can they hope to provide any answers? Their answers must come from outside — not within. Anything else is as ludicrous as a painting becoming aware of its canvas. That to me is the strongest evidence against the wisdom of man, which, under the ostentation of the word ‘science’, seeks to explain anything and everything with only a few pieces of the puzzle.

I hope that your time on this site will be well spent. My words are a part of who I am, so I hope you will find them satisfying or at least amusing. It is a solemn truth that our words will hold us accountable in the end. Christ said, “For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.” These same words are also a form of sustenance; for it says in proverbs, “A man will be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth.”

With all of that in mind, I hope you will read my blog with discretion, and I will in turn write my blog with discretion. Lord willing, I will accomplish something here!
