Van Jones – green jobs nutcase resigns

Van Jones – the guy that’s recently been stirring up intense controversy among Democrats and Republicans alike – finally resigned last night.

The media is spinning it to look like Jones resigned because of ‘inflammatory’ statements he made towards Republicans (which he oh so graciously apologized for), truther alerts, and because of a ‘vicious smear campaign’ that opponents of reform laid against him.

Let’s not forget that this guy was a self a-vowed communist.

Let’s not forget he was a radical black nationalist

Look at how the AP words this:

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama’s adviser Van Jones has resigned amid controversy over past inflammatory statements, the White House said early Sunday.

Jones, an administration official specializing in environmentally friendly ”green jobs” with the White House Council on Environmental Quality was linked to efforts suggesting a government role in the 2001 terror attacks and to derogatory comments about Republicans.

Inflammatory statements? Never once have I, or anyone I hope, born witness to a White House official, or any American politico, calling a majority of the American people “a**holes” in a public setting such as this.

It does bring to question: what does this man say of his opponents behind close doors, when the camera is not rolling?

Jones flatly said in an earlier statement that he did not agree with the petition’s stand on the 9/11 attacks and that ”it certainly does not reflect my views, now or ever.”

As for his other comments he made before joining Obama’s team, Jones said, ”If I have offended anyone with statements I made in the past, I apologize.”

Despite his apologies, Republicans demanded Jones quit.

Classical liberal-biased rhetoric here. Those nasty unforgiving Republicans. Let’s not forget to add the fact that a recent poll revealed that 97 percent (over 110,000 participated) of people believed Jones should not keep his job.

Fox News Channel host Glenn Beck repeatedly denounced Jones after a group the adviser co-founded, ColorofChange.org, led an advertising boycott against Beck’s show to protest his claim that Obama is a racist.

Actually, ColorofChange began the boycott after Beck ‘denounced’ (if you could call it that) Van Jones, said the dopey second-rate college student who never set foot in Brown, Yale or Columbia.

James Rucker, the organization’s executive director, has said Jones had nothing to do with ColorofChange.org now and didn’t even know about the campaign before it started.

Are you serious? So ColorofChange just happened to be boycotting (successfully I might add) the guy who is responsible for exposing its founder for having a radical extremist background? It’s just a coincidence that Glenn Beck, who must be boycotted for calling Obama a ‘racist’, happened to be the same guy tearing down Jones’ political image?

Come on, you can’t actually expect anyone to believe that.

The AP article ends leaving you with a warm fuzzy feeling towards energy activists and paints Jones a martyr.

Nancy Sutley chair of the council, said in a statement released early Sunday that she accepts Jones resignation and thanked him for his service.

”Over the last six months, he had been a strong voice for creating jobs that improve energy efficiency and utilize renewable resources,” she said. ”We appreciate his hard work and wish him the best moving forward.”

Update: Check out what Michelle Malkin had to say about this.

Update: Here’s Glenn Beck’s reaction:

  2. Chris,
Did you see when he was talking about the columbine and he said that black kids would never do that, they might shoot another black kid, but they would never bring guns to a school?
